NCATLL was established in 1955 as the North Carolina affiliate of ASCD and recently celebrated our 70th anniversary with Past Presidents in attendance from up to 20 years ago! We have held our annual conference in Pinehurst, NC for over 35 years and it has a long tradition as the premier teaching and learning event in our state hosting internationally renowned speakers and bringing professional colleagues together to share innovative solutions and practices that produce solutions for students.
Our mission is to advocate for the advancement of NC educators and elevate their impact both within the state and nationally.
Through professional development, strategic partnerships, and the sharing of innovative practices, we promote effective curriculum, instruction, and assessment strategies that meet the diverse needs of every student. We empower educators with the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions that drive meaningful educational outcomes.

TEACHING: Designing innovative, responsive professional learning opportunities with the classroom at the heart of our decisions

LEARNING: Meeting the changing needs of modern learners, teachers, and administrators
